July 12 Tkd for lifeJeeeez peeeps im speechless for once.
Tkd PA champs is like in a few hours time..... and 35thPesta Sukan Nats is next month. Been training like almost everyday since last week?yeapp.jogging, pushups, using shin weights.i'm fighting ACME, its the third time fighting them in a national competition. They're the club which gets most of the gold medals from the tournaments? Thus, meeting them in the first round is not a good thing
Got like 4 fights to get to finals. Im not the confident of winning anything. But nonetheless, I'll put up a fight! yeah! Right now i'm feeling nervous, excited and a little scared. Im fighting fit, been "dieting" a liitle to stay below 61 kg. My body is not seasoned for fighting, would be going to church tomorrow with tonnes of injuries. And i nearly forgot, there's pattern competition tmr. Teaming up with TJC people. Lol they're really nice. I was feeling pissed the other day and was greeted by 3 smiling faces haha It really lit up my day
Tkd is the only thing im so passionate about, yes these competitions mean alot, been training hard, i got a few poly frnds supporting me in this, a few, and many many other guys from sec sch, and club giving me encouragement and all that. My parents aren't exactly happy about this whole tkd thing either. Had a tiff with them just now (not something you need before a competition), so im kinda a lonewolf now.

Signing off....
I July 03 One of my best birthdays, ever.Ok continuation from the previous blog entry.
I got off the plane from germany, and i already had many things to do. The moment i got off, i was like talking to my friends over the phone, the usual brainless chatting. But oh yeah, it felt great, speaking to your good friends again and once again, the moment i landed in singapore, the next 3 days for me was already fully booked.
17th june
I didn't exactly want to go to st andrews on that day..... until i heard that they planned something for my b day! haha oh yeah Yes, some of the YFC trainers came down and we had a mini celebration. It was awesome alright. Just that, someone threw the half eaten cake away, dude imagine that? I wanted to eat every bit of cake that there was, because cherishing what my friends did was really important!!! Its the thought that counts yeah? and they threw the cake in the dustbin. oh man.
Spent it with the St andrews guys, jonald, marcus sng and ky, and the unity gang and peeps. And there was tkd training! oh yeah, but i cant remember what we did, met up with tkd mates and had a good chat more fun than ever, and it wasnt even my birthday yet And yes, seriously i appreciate it alot jonald you're the best!:)
18th june
Happy birthday mark!! at like 12 midnight, a flood of smses came in, wishing me happy birthday and stuff, i was sooo excited! Then in the morning went for DPAIG meeting. well i didnt exactly go to tp with a smiling face...... Roderick was the first one to wish me happy birthday! I mean nothing beats havinga friend who really cares enough to remeber your birthday and wish you on that day. ( Grats rod! first DPA peep to wish me happy birthday) As i went for the meeting, i couldn't help but to have a feeling that they really forgot my birthday, it sucks. But no! they suddenly started singing happy birthday, like everyone in the LT? And MY and HC gave me a present! haha so nice :)
I had to leave early at 11 plus for my PPL, YFC interview, it was really important, literally everyone's dream and once in a life time opportunity. So yeah i wanted to go. The interview, already being postponed twice, landed right on my b day. And, it was delayed. Like dammit i had to go for a party the homies planned after that and it was delayed? I brought some presents already, extra change of clothes and most importantly, each of them set aside some time apart from their painstakingly busy schedule. and i didn't turn up, couldn't turn up.
I swear that was going to be one of the best parties ever, although it was just us, and pizza, presents, a PC and an Xbox, im sure we were soooo gonna have a good time. They were really pissed that i couldn't turn up, but i hope they'll understand, sure they'll understand.
By then the homies all were busy again in the evening, so i made my way down for the class bbq, still feeling regretful. Our class rep was nice enough to place it on my birthday so we could celebrate together. One of my classmates gave me a birthday present! it was buttered corn from the bbq. Eh and mind you i brought it alllllllllllllll the way home to eat man, i also took pics of it! yup, its the thought that counts! haha One thing about my class this year, i respect everyone alot, because everyone is so mature, tactful and nice. =)
Infact, my birthday celebrations continued for like 2 days after my birthday. And i noticed that people may feel that this post is all about me, myself and I. But infact, its about what friends are willing to do, the extend that people are willing to go, just to show that they care. Making them shine out from this horid world filled with evil, miscommunication and (other silly stuff). Pics are up on my blog :)
Cheers to YFC mates, juniors, NOS clan mates, tkd, TP classmates, the multi racial gang, and many more!
(sorry homies for missing the party you guys planned)
Love, mark |
